Thank-you for another great year.

The last day of the season always stirs mixed emotions in me. On one hand, life gets a little more normal but on the other, the excitement of the ski season is over.

I received a lot of positive comments and "pats on the back" today for the management of a less than stellar season weather wise...I always greatly appreciate these comments, but I pass a huge amount of the credit onto our hard working team of staff.

A special thank-you to our Management Team...

Dave Chatterton, Facility/Lift Maintenance Manager
Doug Taylor, Grooming Manager
Linda Schaffer, Administration Manager
Jayne Fisher, Snow School Manager
Jim Bell, Proshop Manager
Kori Killen, Food Services Manager
Dave Rutherford, Snowmaking Manager
Stephan Horn, Terrain Park Manager
Tim Stezik, Risk Manager
Teresa McKenna, Marketing and Promotions Manager
Kassie Glasbergen, Lift Staff Manager

These folks along with their staff met the challenges of this season head on and pulled off another quality year of skiing and snowboarding for our members and guests.

With snow falling from the sky, and drastically lower temperatures than we have seen in the past two weeks we wrapped up the season with a splash....a splash in the waters of "Lake Brimacombe" that is!

Here's what went on...down by the lake.

I was fairly dry until Josh decided to reduce his chances of rehire ;)

It was another SEASON in Paradise,

Have a safe and fun summer, see you next season.

Cheers,

TWO days left! Don't miss out.

It's days like this that bring back fond memories of growing up out here at the club. The spring conditions are great, the sun is warmer than warm, little kids are finding all kinds of ways to have fun, sun lovers are stretched out on the decks, and the smell of spring lingers in the air. There are only two days left in this season after today, even if you are done skiing or snowboarding for the year, join us this weekend for two of our most popular events.

Our Annual B!G A!R competition takes place tomorrow in the Main park and the super popular BRIMACOMBE PUDDLE JUMP is this Sunday...it's as much fun to watch as it is to take part in so I hope to see huge crowds cheering on the brave souls attempting to cross the chilly waters of "Lake Brimacombe" which we will build in front of our East Chalet, accessed via Gate 4.

Have a look at what we did today here on the Brim...

Just like the beach...only different.

Dillon and Alyssa must have had fun the other day...they were back today for some more run time.

Ed...ready to teach a Discover Snowboarding lesson.

Teresa practicing her "hula hooping" for Sundays BEACH themed PUDDLE JUMP.

It was another day in Paradise,

Cheers,
Mark

THREE days remain in the 2009-2010 season!

It's hard to believe that we are almost to the end of the March Break for another year...Where did the time go? As I wrote yesterday, due to the minimal number of skiers and snowboarders making use of the hill, and the rapid emergence of spring, we will close for the season at 4:30pm on Sunday March 21, 2010.

Today was another great weather day for spring skiing and snowboarding. Our March Break Ski Camp brought a number of youngsters to the hill and by the smiles on their faces they were having a great time. Three days remain, grab your gear and make use of the snow before it's too late!

Each year the time comes when a decision has to be made about wrapping up the season. It's always a tough balance between customer service and actual hill attendance. This year, like others -though earlier than some due to the weathers perceived effect on the amount of snow we have remaining- the vast majority of our membership and guests have spoken, they are done skiing and snowboarding for the season.

2010 SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER RAIL JAM SERIES WINNERS!

As promised, here are the series winners for the 2010 Saturday Night Fever Rail Jam Series sponsored by MONSTER Energy, Brimacombe Proshop, Scotties Skis and Boards, Clarke Sommerville Sports, Elan, and Nomis.

Winding down...Get your riding in!

Some Ontario resorts have already closed for the season, and a number of others will this Sunday...Brimacombe will now join this list ending operations for the 2009-2010 season on Sunday March 21, 2010.

We will be open for night skiing tonight (March 17, 2010) from 4:30pm to 10pm and then 9am to 4:30pm Thursday, March 18 through to Sunday, March 21, 2010 weather permitting.

Today's pictures of our quality spring skiing conditions.

Pass the word the skiing and snowboarding is great! Get out here and enjoy the final days in the 2009-2010 season!

Some great times on the race course today (March Camp Race Camp)

A fine group of future Olympic stars! We hope you all enjoyed the Brimacombe Racing Club's March Break Camp!

Tony M. and Ric C. enjoy some tan time on the deck.

Due to the weathers effect on our base depth (including the high day time temps forecast for this week), and the RAPID emergence of spring we have RESCHEDULED THE BRIMACOMBE PUDDLE JUMP to SUNDAY MARCH 21, 2010.
